Butterfly Tree...

Well, as the term has now finished, i'm all sorted and caught up at home, it is time to catch up a little with my blog :)

Today I am going to show you two cards I have made using the new 'Butterfly Tree' set from Little Claire's, which was released a while ago. For my cards I have used a couple of images, but there are lots more parts to this set, which really is a beauty :) I can't wait to play some more with the other items in the set, but for now, this is what I have made!

For the first card I have stamped the butterfly image directly onto a cardblank from Craftwork Cards, and coloured it using ProMarkers. I have then embellished the image using glitter glue, glossy accents and pearls from my stash. I have added the sentiment, mounted on cardstock and some flowers cut using First Edition papers ('Hideaway' pack). I have also added a panel of paper to the inside, again mounted on cardstock.

You Can see the detail on the main image a little clearer in this second photo. I kept quite a bit of white space to highlight the detail in the image.

This second card uses the main 'Butterfly Tree' image. For this simple card I have simply inked the top part of the tree in green and the trunk in brown (using memento inks in Pear Tart and Rich Cocoa) then stamped it out. I have then stamped the greeting across the trunk of the tree. I have added some glitter glue, although it doesnt show up very well in the photo! I love this image, and now I have some fine nib attachments for my ProMarkers I would like to have a go at doing more with it :)
